Thankful

 As my new boss said in a Thanksgiving message to the 51,500 union members he leads across New York: "We are grateful to be alive, and grateful you are, too." Not subtle, that guy.

We enjoyed a very low-key celebration at home, just the four of us. Zoomed with both sides of the family, enjoyed a couple long dog walks, cooked and ate a lovely meal, and finished the evening with a viewing of the movie "Tag." To continue a now fairly childish tradition, here is what the kids said they were thankful for: GRETA: Family, friends, Mittens, Yeager, Kamala Harris, Books, Technology, Earth, Flute, Spotify. LINCOLN: Friends, Family, Dog, Electricity, 'The Office,' Music, Water.

The final spread: Turkey, mashed potatoes, vegan stuffing, Brussels sprouts with pears, acorn squash, cranberry sauce. Pecan and some sugar-free, gluten-free vanilla pudding monstrosity. Points to Carey for trying, but if I can't have sugared desserts, I'm afraid I'll just not eat dessert.
