Early Christmas

Saturday night with Carey's college pal Phyllis and last night with my folks. Half a dozen dog walks, an impromptu viewing of "Forrest Gump" as we channel surfed past BBC America, and a lovely chicken and white bean chili. The parents head south to Rye today, enjoy Christmas with the Girards, and then it's Mar-a-Lago until March.

Phyllis gets a hug for the saxophone socks.

Dad is the single easiest relative to shop for -- find a book you want to read, give it to him, and then read it yourself! For the record, this one was on a lot of Best of 2019 lists I saw.... nonfiction about the world below our feet and the science and myths that help explain it.
Matching AM/PM pill boxes. What a gift from a daughter-in-law.

Doesn't look a day older than 45, does she?

Ceramic knives. Someone check the tips of grandma's figures this spring.
A Huggie, As Seen on TV.
I was very glad to let Yeager's anvil head rest somewhere else for a couple days.
