Carey made cousin Carah envious and took in a performance of Dear Evan Hansen last week in New York, featuring her pal Nicole Van Giesen in the mom's role. Even got a backstage tour where she signed the current blue room poster. I wonder where all the old ones go when they're filled up?
And then last night the whole family enjoyed The Phantom of the Opera at Proctor's Theatre in Schenectady, featuring an Ithaca classmate of Carey's playing the phantom! We're feeling very cultured in these parts.
