Greta had a little extra audience this morning at Girl Scout Troop 2351's pre-dawn appearance at the Albany International (they fly to Canada) Airport. Mommy, Grandpa Jerry and yours truly watched her say, "Thank you for your service" approximately 97 times. She also clapped when appropriate, stared fixedly at the flag when required, and bowed her head in benediction. Thank you for YOUR service, Greta. I mostly related to this woman's shirt.

And I liked the sentiment on this patch on a Patriot Rider's vest ... his lower left, our right: "I WASN'T THERE BUT I STILL CARE."
There were six WWII vets there, the oldest 95. One of them turned 92 today. Here's hoping their families know some of their stories.
