Backyard in bloom
Grandma Vickie is visiting to kick off Spring Break and the ladies spent hours in the backyard yesterday, pruning and planting. Carey splurged for a $20 forsythia and they transplanted some tulips and wild grasses from grandma's yard. Oh, and some annuals for a pop of color out front. Lincoln and I wrestled in the grass, played catch, watched the Rangers lose, played his latest obsession "Hungry Shark" on the iPhone. Plus we paid our respects to Passover and ate awesome reubens at Gershon's Deli. A lovely Saturday. Today grandma departs with our kids for three days of central New York fun with the cousins. When we were both working and the attractions of NYC were a train ride away, these were highly anticipated days. Now I'm seeking suggestions on how to fill the hours after 2pm... when the joy of my life these last eight months has been hugging the kiddos in the driveway as they get off the bus and tell me all about their days.
