Coney Island

We followed up our trip to Jenkinson's last Tuesday with a trip to Coney Island on Lincoln's birthday on Thursday. The birthday boy was fearless, riding something called The Luna that made Jenkinson's Pendolo look like child's play. While spinning, you also do a few 360-degree loops, including a good 3-5 seconds at the top of the arc, upside down. It was nuts! And since Carey rode that with him, I felt compelled to ride a roller coaster called Thunderbolt. It goes completely vertical off the start and then dumps you directly down on your face for 115 feet before multiple loops, twists and turns. And we were in the first car! Unfortunately, they don't make photos easy on either ride and selfies are prohibited for obvious safety reasons, so you'll just have to enjoy the reaction shots and take my word for it! We did get a few other shots on other rides and the boardwalk.

This week the kids start their half day summer camp with the South Orange recreation department while Carey and I sit around in our super clean house hoping our realtor calls with an offer. About 12 people have looked at it so far and our realtor thinks at least one is preparing an offer. Fingers crossed!

Wednesday it's off to Albany for a second house-hunting trip. Perhaps by the end of this week life won't feel so in limbo.
