Grandpa Jerry rekindled his artistic youth this week in Lake George, N.Y. He was flown up from Florida by organizers, changed into his cold weather clothes like Superman, and uncovered a pair of pachyderms in an 8x8 ft. block of snow. His partner was a local chef at the Sagamore Resort who had carved his share of ice sculptures.
We showed up Friday afternoon when the deed was mostly done. It was incredibly cold, so we took some pictures and retreated to the indoor pool at the Best Western. Sara's college pal Colleen then hosted us for dinner at her home down the road in Queensbury. A good time was had by all. And it was a joy to see Dad so happy. He's never happier than when he's sharing his art with the world.
