Dear Edwina

Greta's second grade-school musical is in the books. She performed Friday and Saturday night and Sunday afternoon before enthusiastic full houses at South Mountain Elementary. Once again, the 3rd and 4th graders made up the chorus while the 5th graders got the speaking parts and the solos. Needless to say, we can't wait for next year when we'll be a 5th grade family! Greta belted out her songs with gusto and had a ball with her friends. It was a lot of practice and a lot of performing, but it was worth it.

The musical was about a girl named Edwina in Paw Paw, Michigan, who puts on shows in her garage that consist of her offering advice. This being 2014, we follow t-ball's lead and don't keep score; that is, there aren't tryouts. Anyone who commits can participate. So we had nine Edwinas and half a dozen Scotts.

Sadly, in our rush to get there on Friday after work we didn't bring the camera. So Carey took some on Saturday, but freely admits I'm the photographer in the family. Natalia (headband) often found the center of the frame.
