Then it was off to Cait & Abbey's in South Orange, the Kosher bakery that sells a lot of Challah this time of year, where we met up with the Haydens and the McVetys.

Sugar-sated, we crossed the street to the fire station, where Santa and a saxophonist were holding court, where Lincoln hitched a ride with the big kids in the truck bay, and where Carey met up with Carla, whose hair color she stole about two months ago.
Santa then hopped in a fire truck and we walked behind his escort about a quarter mile up South Orange Avenue to light the town Christmas Tree.
