I was particularly proud because she knows litter is my pet peeve. She watches me pick it up with "the claw" at playgrounds and before the town started picking up all co-mingled recyclables every other week, we used to go to the recycling center and play the game she describes below. It's just nice to know they're paying attention, you know?
Recycling
Imagine: A world filled with trash. You smell a stinky smell in the air. Your own garbage can is overflowing with trash. Suddenly a bird gets caught in a plastic bag! Recycle to stop this from happening.
People litter every day. You could throw a Pepsi bottle into a recycling can. You might be thinking, I recycle, but people you know might not!
My Dad and I recycle bottles, paper and cardboard. When we throw the bottles into the bottle pit, we make it into a game. Whoever throws them the farthest, wins! See? You can have fun and recycle. It's a real bargain.
If you don't recycle, start. Have a bin for garbage and a bin for recycling things.
Paper is mashed and molded into other things. When it's done, you get new paper. When you recycle paper, less trees will get chopped down, which is good. We need trees to breathe. Without trees, plants and more, we would DIE!
To stop that from happening, recycle!
