A few more from Thanksgiving...

I've lost my photographic sense of adventure, it seems. Lugging the Canon around my neck and thinking about creative compositions and capturing candid moments suddenly seems less fun and more like work. So I took about 20 shots on Thanksgiving Day, despite a full house of 20 people, including all my immediate family minus Grandpa Bob. You'll just have to trust me that a good time was had by all. The menu, recorded here for posterity, and bookmarked where possible for the foodies in our audience:

APPETIZERS
Chili-lime cashews
Fried herb almonds
Crispy prosciutto cups with diced and peppered pears
Manchego cheese with crackers
Black grapes
Baked brie

SIDES
Cheddar biscuits with pecans
Cream cheese mashed potatoes
Corn casserole
Vegetables Wellington
Slow-roasted green beans with sage
Squash gratin
Sage stuffing
Homemade macaroni & cheese
Homemade cranberry sauce

ENTREE
18 lb. farm-raised virgin turkey

Yeah, there's an app for that.

Bless us, every one, for he is the Light, the Sword, the Truth, the unerring compass in a sea of uncertainty. Also he's omnipotent and can strike you down without any notice whatsoever.
