Just the girls

The title of this post reflects one of Greta's favorite mantras. So you can imagine her delight when Lincoln's nap coincided with a visit from her friend, Emma, while Emma's baby sister had her 15-month checkup. Greta, Emma (and mommy!) enjoyed a just-the-girls lunch, which included the telling of a fairy tale in which Princesses Greta and Emma had to wake up a sleeping giant and dragon by tickling them with flowers. After lunch, we performed the story again, and again, and again, until the giant/dragon had enough of their tickles and declared that it was time to paint sparkle snowflakes. As both young ladies were recent winners in the South Orange Public Library Thanksgiving Coloring Contest (more about that once I get a picture of my daughter's second-place-winning glittering turkey), it was no surprise that their creations were simply beautiful. 'Tis the season to be jolly, indeed.
