Those were the lyrics running through my head all night as Greta endured long stretches of wakefulness. She was wide awake from 10:30 p.m. until about 12:30 a.m. She wanted to walk, play with her blocks, get her tummy tickled, everything she likes during the day, pretty much. Here's the demon child slithering across the floor while cackling with laughter:

I'll admit Carey did most of the comforting... singing to her, bouncing her, every trick in the book. But at 6 a.m. Care had to start getting ready for work, so it was my turn. Apparently Carey's efforts to tire her out worked, but I was the one who got to enjoy the fruit of her labors:
