It's a lovely thing to be about 2:15 away from the family's small slice of the Adirondacks. We were in on Saturday just after lunch and out on Sunday just before. Managed to dry dock the barge, remove the floating dock and finish the Wall Street Journal weekend crossword puzzle. Also watched a little college football, played Perquackey, and started Jonathan Franzen's new novel, "Crossroads." Oh, and used the outhouse. I love taking a dump with the door open, what can I say? The leaves have already started to turn and should be peak in 10 days or so. We're hoping to get back the first weekend of October before they all fall.

Nice photos!
