Time passes...

Nothing much to report, but I fear there are readers who worry when they don't get regular updates. We're still awfully sad about Chris. Going to bed early, reading all the tributes on Facebook, and making sure nephew Ryan has everything he needs to succeed at Corrections Academy here in Albany. As week one comes to a close, he says he never knew he could do so many pushups and he too is awfully tired when the day is done! We may have dinner with him tomorrow night as he heads back to Watertown for some weekend time with his young daughter Alayna.

In other news, both kids had outstanding Q2 report cards. We're glad intellectual curiosity seems to be genetic. And Mittens had a rosy health checkup. The Big Cat is down 1.1 pounds from this time last year. Weighs in at a still stout 19.8 lbs. Yeager continues to keep him in Greta's room for the most part, though Mittens has an odd bedtime routine now where he pokes his head halfway out the baby gate on Greta's door until Yeager barks him back behind bars.

So all things considered, we're doing about as well as can be expected. The UAlbany Men's Lacrosse team starts their season on Saturday, hosting that horrible school Cornell that we now have multiple reasons to hate. After we get through that, we're heading to Syracuse for the rest of the holiday weekend to spend some more time with family.
