The last day of October

We celebrated the end of the month by hosting a dozen of Carey's colleagues for a lunchtime party, then walked around town and knocked on strangers' doors for an hour or so and asked them to give us various fun size chocolate bars and sundry candies. We might do this annually here in our new home. Each year, the kids say they'll change their outfits. For 2015, they chose Frodo Baggins and Galadriel, Queen of the Elves. A special thank you to new blog reader and Albany pal "Aunt Philly," who passed out candy to other strangers so we could go door-to-door at dusk.
