Oscar bait?

The kids know I left the golden goose behind and can longer get them into free movies, but that didn't stop us from dropping $40 to see Minions last night. No surprise - thumbs down from the adults, thumbs up from the kids. I am very intrigued, however, by Jake Gyllenhaal's performance as a down-on-his-luck boxer in Southpaw.
