Easter 'parade'

Note the single quotes above. The so-called New York City Easter Parade is not a parade at all, dear readers. It is a see-and-be-seen event for exhibitionists and dog lovers, mostly. They shut down a stretch of Fifth Avenue and everyone just mills about remarking on the goofy hats. We didn't know that when our friends the Baileys invited us to join them for their annual Easter Sunday tradition. Next year we'll make hats and wear them so strangers can take selfies with us. But hey, we did get Lincoln in a three-piece suit, even if we couldn't get the kids to look at ONE camera.
