National Night Out

I don't know what it's for -- a safer community? A chance for the police and fire departments to demo their toys? Or just another summer evening excuse to bring villagers out to the town green for music, libations and an outdoor screening of The LEGO Movie? Probably D) All of the above. We gave it an hour of our time this evening, checking out the civic-minded booths (Carey may serve on the Transportation Alternatives Committee, because, why not?), bouncing in the houses and enjoying a funnel cake.
