We watched the Hayden kids yesterday while their parents held a $10 bag sale at the consignment shop. Mostly we were blissfully hands-off, puttering about the house, cleaning, but in the late morning we were told to take our seats in the living room for a fashion show. A red carpet had been crayoned on a roll of paper and Greta was the first one to walk it. She now says she's not sure what look she was going for, but she was introduced on Saturday as "a teenager." That seems about right, no?
Charlotte Hayden chose a more simple ensemble, the pink lace of a princess. Big sister Emma somehow got away with just being the announcer while Lincoln -- in a welcome burst of modesty -- said I could not take a picture and "put it on the blog" of him dressed up as Captain Underpants wearing his tighty whiteys and a cape.
