Greta counted eight loons this year, but I'm not convinced she wasn't counting the same bird twice. We did spot a family once, but the babies were big enough to swim on their own, so no shot of a furry little one hitching a ride on mama's back. Almost got the money shot of a loon lifting off the lake, but neither my lens nor my shutter speed was up to the task.
you do know the first picture is Canada geese, right? glad the kids had fun!
