Haydens!

As Carey put it, it's feast or famine with our friends the Haydens. Emma and Greta are in the same class and Charlotte and Lincoln eat lunch and play at recess together daily, but we sometimes go a month or more without getting together on the weekend. Busy lives, and all that.

Anyway, this has been a feast weekend so far, with a pair of scooter trips down the hill to their house on Friday and Saturday. The kids played Skylanders, hide and seek and various iterations of "I'm an animal," which never seems to have a plot but involves much discussion about who's endangered, how they move, where they would hide, how they would react to predators, etc.

Also, check out my daughter's impressive tongue. I've started calling her serpent.
