The local playgrounds are mostly matted leaves and mud, but we visited them all on Saturday anyway. The neighborhood one behind the gas station and across the street from the car wash, the one in East Orange you can only get to by dodging broken beer bottles on the sidewalk, and the one across from Greta's school with enough downed branches to start a bonfire. Ahh, New Jersey in the springtime! We jogged from one to the other with the kids for the last time in the double stroller (pushing 75 lbs. is a bit much) and pointed out all the signs of a new season.
