Blessings
It's been an emotional 10 days here at Merrilly Yours. Lincoln's best buddy in South Orange, a boy his age named Jack Bailey, was diagnosed with a form of childhood leukemia on Jan. 28. Spiked a high fever for a few days and next thing you know his parents are charting a course of chemo with his doctor. Carey has been the Queen of Compassion since the bad news broke. She put together a blog for their family and friends to share Jack's Journey and another one for Friends of the Bailey Family to organize meal-making, hospital shuttles and all the rest of the logistics.
Jack's home for a couple days before another dose of chemo. We spent about an hour hanging out today on the playground, where I snapped these two pics. He's awfully tired and doesn't like to toddle much because his bones hurt. But so far the prognosis is quite positive. You can read all about it at Jack's Journey. I've added a link in Friends' Blogs.
