My 94-year-old grandfather used to listen to President Roosevelt's fireside chats on a radio, probably in front of an actual fire. My 3-1/2-year-old daughter watches Disney videos on a laptop computer. Not just any video, of course, the first 6 minutes of Tinker Bell's new movie, which we bought as a Christmas present weeks ago. But shhh, she doesn't know that yet.

The new hearth
My 94-year-old grandfather used to listen to President Roosevelt's fireside chats on a radio, probably in front of an actual fire.
