We scooted south for 48 hours on July 5. Destination: The National Aquarium in Charm City. Spent at least 12 hours over two days checking out every exhibit except the top level of the rain forest (too hot and too crowded). The dolphin training was far and away the favorite, including a front-row seat in the Splash Zone during one of the sessions. We left the amphitheater thoroughly soaked. Alas, I'm still too cheap to buy the long angle lens, so made do with my standard issue. The rest of the aquarium is far too dark for photos, so I didn't come away with much. Above, the kids are showing off their gift shop toys -- a battery-powered mermaid pool toy and a pink stuffed sea otter. Grandma Vickie will note that Lincoln wore his matching marine life shirt and shorts from her recent Caribbean cruise. I can't tell you how many people pointed out how awesome he looked -- from the dude who ripped our tickets to the scuba divers we met in the elevator. Shame there wasn't a prize for most passionately dressed. He would have won in a landslide.
| Meet Bayley, the aquarium's youngest Atlantic bottle-nosed. She turns 4 on July 27. |

| Greta modeling the shirt she designed this year for her class trip to the Coney Island aquarium. That's a silk-screened angel fish for the uneducated. |
