The circus came to town!

Ignoring what we read and saw in "Water for Elephants" and the one dude from PETA with a megaphone outside the Prudential Center, we thoroughly enjoyed the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus Friday night in Newark. From the trapeze artists to the elephants to the tumbling dwarf, Lincoln and Greta were entranced. I'm still too cheap to buy that zoom lens, so my photos aren't very good, I'm afraid. But we were really impressed. Hopefully all the animals were well fed and cared for after they entertained us for two hours.

Crazy stunt riders that seemed to risk their lives with every trick.

Greta's favorite: Tiny gymnasts doing acrobatics in balls suspended from the ceiling.

The flying trapeze!

Everyone loves an elephant parade!

Two-legged and one-trunked elephant.
Trying on the ringmaster's outfit before the show.

Popcorn and a rainbow icee in a tiger cup!
